Santa Caterina by train
| The closest train station to Santa Caterina is in Tirano. Usually, 8 trains leave every day from Milano main station to reach Tirano. The travel lasts more or less 2 hours and a half. Once in Tirano you can catch a bus for Bormio right in front of the train station. There is usually one after every train. When you arrive in Bormio, you change the bus for S.CATERINA. |

| The Milan airports, Malpensa and Linate, are about 200 km from Bormio. Bormio can be reached by train as far as Tirano and then by coach, using the Perego coach Service. The Innsbruck airport, is 180 Km from Bormio. You can reachBormio by taking the train from Innsbruck to Landeck and on to St.Moritz and then by coach. |

is only 200 Kilometres far from Milan. It's linked up to the main
cities by a new motorway and a fast railway system. • FROM MILANO from central south On the east bypass take the "link road" Torino - Malpensa. Exit Sesto San Giovanni. Then continue in the direction of Lecco on Lake Como - Sondrio - Tirano - Bormio - S.CATERINA • FROM NORTH WEST Use the northern bypass in the direction of Venezia. Exit Sesto San Giovanni. Then continue in the direction of Lecco on Lake Como - Sondrio - Tirano - Bormio - S.CATERINA • FROM BRESCIA from north - east On the Venezia - Milano motorway exit at Brescia Ovest (Brescia west). Take the bypass until Iseo, then the Valcamonica until Edolo. From here pass through Aprica reaching Valtellina, then towards Bormio - S.CATERINA MOUNTAIN ROUTES: the Stelvio Pass mt. 2758 opens from the end of May until the end of October - the Gavia Pass mt. 2652 opens from June 1st. until the end of September. Santa Maria Pass and Forcola Pass are also closed during winter season. | ||
